On the afternoon of June 19, 2021, under the guidance of the Office of China’s Committee on Children and Youth, the “Inheritance of Red Genes, Blooming the Light of Life” National Visually Impaired Students’ Red Education Live Lesson Program launching ceremony was held at the Xinmu Cinema. The event was organized by Beijing Xinmu Foundation for Helping the Disabled and the Guangdong Long March Culture Promotion Association, and hosted by Beijing HongDanDan Visually Impaired Culture Service Center.

Amidst the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, Mr. Bei Hai, the head of Beijing Youwei International Trading Co., Ltd., promptly contacted Xinmu Foundation. He expressed his intention to donate disposable surgical gowns (valued at over 320,000 yuan) to support hospitals’ anti-pandemic efforts. To ensure the surgical gowns were delivered to the hospitals in urgent need, Ms. Zheng Xiaojie, a director of Xinmu Foundation, urgently contacted Ms. Fan Yanrong, the Secretary-General of the Beijing Bethune Charitable Foundation, who had knowledge of medical institutions in remote areas. They collaborated to ensure the donation reached its intended destinations.

At the arrival of the New Year in 2021, Kumyk Akik Village received the first heartfelt gift from Beijing – a donation of books collected by the Xinmu Foundation for Helping the Disabled. The initial batch of donated books was primarily aimed at teenagers and included various titles such as “New Education Morning Recitation” (Grades 1-6), “Who Are You Reading For,” “Collection of Chinese Historical Stories,” “Five Thousand Years Up and Down,” “If Miracles Happen Far Away,” and others, totaling 683 books with an approximate value of nearly 15,000 yuan.

On December 3rd, the ‘International Day of Persons with Disabilities,’ to assist disabled individuals in stepping out of their homes and enhance the level of assistance provided by volunteers and members of society, the ‘Disability Assistance Service Training Center,’ jointly founded by Haitu North Branch Library and Xinmu Foundation for Helping the Disabled, was officially established.

Zhen Ding joined a state-owned enterprise, hoping to contribute to his hometown and make it a better place.
