Project Introduction

Appreciating and Perceiving the Charms of Film Art with the Eyes of the Soul

The Beijing Blind Film Festival, under the guidance of the Social Work Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Disabled Persons’ Federation, is organized by the Beijing Hearttouch Assistance to the Disabled Foundation and hosted by the Beijing Hongdandan Visually Impaired Culture Service Center. The festival aims to recognize individuals and organizations contributing to the art of audio description, honor volunteers and organizations providing audio description services for the blind, explore innovative developments at the intersection of audio description and public welfare films, promote professional assistance concepts for the visually impaired, and share achievements in public welfare films and professional assistance for the visually impaired.

On June 29, 2019, the Beijing Xinmu Foundation successfully initiated the event ‘Guinness World Record for Most People Watching a Voice-Over Movie Screening (Multiple Venues)’ in collaboration with philanthropists from various sectors in 11 cities across the country.
